Green’s On The Go Celebrates Grand Opening
· £2,000 donated to two Dunfermline youth organisations to mark store opening
· Greens Retail Group surpasses £60,000 in community donations milestone
· Funds raised through in-store sales of Co-op branded products via Making a Difference Locally partnership
Newly launched convenience store Green’s On The Go, located on Hospital Hill, Dunfermline, marked its official opening on 25 June with a £2,000 donation to two local youth-focused organisations—taking Greens Retail Group’s total community giving to an impressive £60,000.
The donations are made in partnership with Co-op Wholesale’s charity, Making a Difference Locally, with funding generated through the sale of Co-op branded products in store. The initiative supports community causes across the UK.
To celebrate the store’s launch, two donations of £1,000 have been awarded through this initiative, focusing on improving opportunities for young people in Dunfermline.
The chosen causes are:
Dunfermline High School
The donation will support the creation of a new enclosed outdoor space for the school’s Enhanced Support Pupils. The funding will go towards purchasing outdoor equipment to enhance the area, which is expected to benefit around 60 pupils.
Speaking about the project, the school highlighted the importance of the space in providing a safe, engaging outdoor environment tailored to the needs of its students.
Representatives from Dunfermline High School, including Depute Headteacher Debbie Aitken and two School Captains, attended the store’s opening event.

Brucefield Youth Organisation
The second £1,000 donation has been awarded to Brucefield Youth Organisation, a volunteer-led club supporting children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 across Dunfermline.
The funding will enable the organisation to purchase new arts and crafts supplies, much-needed sports equipment and board games.
The group currently supports around 22 children from various local primary schools, providing an inclusive and welcoming space for all.

These latest donations reflect Green’s On The Go’s commitment to being more than just a convenience store, with a strong focus on investing in local people and community wellbeing from day one, while contributing to Greens Retail Group’s growing legacy of community support through Making a Difference Locally.
